Fairburn Mews & Vale Care Home
The Fairburn development comprised of the concurrent construction of two independent 20 bed nursing blocks for specialist needs. This increased the capacity of a popular complex to 120 beds with the necessary amenities.
The foundations required specialist attention to withstand difficult ground conditions such as underground voids formed by the movement of water within sand tunnels. Further obstacles involved insufficient existing main drainage and the installation of a pumping station was required and environmental considerations were needed in relation to the surface water run off.
