The design and build of a 22 bedroom specialist mental health unit including a reinforced concrete basement.
Various obstacles were needed to overcome difficult ground conditions. We worked closely with Fosroc to design a waterproof tanking system, sub basement drainage and a pumping station. Specialist ventilation and light wells were introduced, and a warm wall design to ensure the basement is comfortable and pleasant to use. The project was completed eight weeks ahead of schedule with improvements on specification throughout, yet built to the quoted cost.
